mobile-notchSkills app

Latest update: April 16th, 2026

Great for allowing managers and employees to add results and electronic signatures from the floor, our Skills App provides an intuitive interface for managing and viewing skill development and results.

It is available for iOS phones in the App Store, and for Android phones in the Google Play Store.

What's possible in the app?

The AG5 Skills app has 5 separate tabs:

  • Home

  • Add result

  • Employees

  • My portfolio

  • Settings

Home tab

When you first open the app, you'll be taken to the home screen. Here (if you have an employee profile of your own), you'll see your Skills overview, a visual overview of the number of your achievements, as well as the number of skills still required for your position.

Below that is a shortcut for adding results. Pressing this blue button will take you to the "Add result" tab.

Further down you'll find your "My results" section, which contains all results against your employee profile added over the last 3 months. This section is only present if your user account is linked to an employee profile.

Finally, the "Results added by me" section shows all results added by your user account over the last 3 months. By default, the app shows the 3 most recent results. Tapping "See more results" will show all results from the last 3 months.

Tapping on any individual result takes you to its details page, where you can view and download attachments and eSignatures.

Add result tab

This tab is where you add results for yourself or others (assuming your user account has the correct edit rights).

First, a date is chosen for the beginning of the result validity. After tapping "Next", choose the employee for the result by tapping their name. Only one employee can be chosen at a time here — for adding results to multiple employees at once, use the Employees tab instead.

Next, search for and tap the skill, then choose a score. This page is also where you can add remarks or take a picture of any relevant documentation or certification. There are no limits to the number of pictures that can be uploaded. Tapping the info icon lets you view the rating level descriptions (if filled out by your organization).

Finally, you'll reach the Summary page. This is where eSignatures are added before submitting. Multiple signatories are supported — you can collect signatures from the employee, manager, trainer, or anyone else involved in the assessment. Before signing, each signatory must check a declaration checkbox confirming their acknowledgment; this declaration and the signer's details are included in the generated eSignature file. Once all signatures are added, tap "Submit" to save the result.

Employees tab

The Employees tab lets you browse your team and take action directly from the floor.

Adding results for multiple employees at once

Save time by adding results for your entire team — or selected employees — in a single action. Simply choose a skill, assign a score, and add remarks, attachments, and signatures for everyone at once. Individual entries can still be adjusted before submitting.

How to use it:

  1. Go to the Employees tab using the icon in the bottom navigation bar.

  2. Tap the blue multi-select button.

  3. Select up to 25 employees and tap Actions, then Add results.

  4. Choose a skill, set a shared score, and add remarks, attachments, and signatures.

  5. Continue to the next step to review and adjust details per individual.

  6. Tap the arrow next to an employee's name to modify their score, attachments, or signatures.

  7. Review everything on the summary page and confirm. Shared signatures will be applied separately to each selected employee.

Employee details and position overview

You can also tap into any employee's profile to view their details and position directly in the app. Whether you're on the shop floor or away from your laptop, this lets you verify information and understand role context on the spot. This looks the same as the below My Portfolio tab, except for other employees, not yourself.

My portfolio tab

This tab allows users who have an employee profile to view all of their valid and required skills. Tapping on each skill provides its details and result history. For employees with many requirements, the search, sort, and filter functions make it easy to find any skill.

Viewing plannings

A blue dot next to a skill indicates that a planning has been created for a skill gap. Tapping the skill takes you to the details page where the planning deadline is visible. Expanding the planning by tapping on it provides further details.

Viewing skill attachments

Skill attachments are visible and available for download under each skill's accordion section in your portfolio, giving you quick access to relevant documents directly within the app.

Viewing prerequisite rules

After tapping into a skill detail page, you can see when a skill has prerequisite assignments. Expanding the "Skill prerequisites" section shows the rules in full. The app also shows a clear warning when a result's prerequisites have not yet been met, helping you take the right actions at the right time.

Settings tab

The Settings tab allows users to:

  • Choose active repository (if more than one is available for your user account)

  • Choose language

  • Contact support

  • Log out
