What's included in the Insights Dashboard?

The Insights Dashboard consists of several pages, each focused on a different dimension of your skills data. Together, they allow you to move from identifying gaps to actively resolving them.

Overall Insights

The main Overview page shows organization-wide skills compliance metrics. It includes a data table displaying the actual numbers behind each chart, giving you full transparency to validate or export data for deeper analysis.

Use the time filter to track how compliance has changed over a selected period. Note that the period filter uses month-based selection only — the first day of the selected month is used as the reference date (except when the current month is selected in the "Until" field, which will show today's date).

A collapsible sidebar is available to give you more screen space when working with data-heavy pages.

Compliance charts

The following charts are available on the Overview page:

  • Compliant results per Skill — Quickly assess and compare compliant results across all skills

  • Compliant results per Employee — See compliance levels per individual employee

  • Gaps per Skill — Identify which skills have the most outstanding gaps across your workforce

  • Gaps per Employee — Identify which employees have the most gaps

circle-info

"Gaps" refers to missing or non-compliant required skills. This terminology replaced the earlier term "Problems" as of March 2026 (English only).

All entity names in the charts are clickable — click on any employee or skill name to jump directly to their detail page and take immediate action.

Please note that users only see the skills or employees they already have access to. For example, a manager of two teams will only see data for those teams when no filters are applied. Use the matrix filter to narrow results to a specific team.

Skills compliance reflects how well your workforce meets required skills. If your organization primarily tracks achieved skills without defining skill requirements, these charts will not show meaningful data.

Grouping Insights pages

Each grouping type with requirements in your organizational structures — such as job roles, teams, locations, or shifts — has its own dedicated Insights page. These pages are available to users with access to all organization data, and can be accessed via the sidebar beneath the Overall compliance page.

On each page you can:

  • Use filters to focus on specific groupings and compare them with each other

  • Use the time filter to see how compliance has progressed over a period

  • View the full organizational structure path of a team, shift, or grouping — either in the data table or by hovering over the name in charts and lists. This ensures data is always interpreted within the correct operational context.

This makes it easy to see which teams or roles are excelling, which need support, and where to focus improvement efforts.

Skill Development Insights

The Skill Development Insights overall page provides visibility into the entire skill development process — helping you shift from identifying gaps to actively resolving them. This is also available via the sidebar.

It lets you track each step of the process:

Key benefits:

  • Quickly identify where results are stuck in the process and pinpoint bottlenecks (e.g., waiting for self-assessments or approvals)

  • Clearly see where training is already planned and where it is delayed

  • Identify where immediate action is needed by specific teams or managers using the matrix filter

Access and permissions

The Insights Dashboard is available to Admins, Super Users, and Team Managers. See User accounts for access setup and role details.

Grouping Insights pages (for job roles, teams, locations, etc.) are available to users with access to all organization data.

Each user sees only the data they have access to based on their role and permissions. If you believe you should have access to a page or chart that is not visible to you, contact your AG5 administrator.

Frequently asked questions

Why do my compliance charts show no data? Skills compliance is based on required skills. If your organization has not defined skill requirements, compliance charts will not display data. Check Skill requirements to set up the required skills behind these charts.

Why can I see some teams but not others in the Grouping pages? You only see data for teams and employees within your access scope. Team managers see the teams they manage. If you need access to additional data, ask your AG5 administrator to adjust your permissions.

Can I export the data from Insights? Yes. The data table on the Overview page can be used to validate figures, and data can be exported using AG5's standard export tools. For advanced reporting, see Exporting data or Advanced analytics (API).
