# August Release #1, 2023

The following updates have been implemented in AG5’s skills management software.

### **Self-referential prerequisites**

It is now possible to reference prerequisites with levels of the same qualification. You can now create a prerequisite ruleset so that it is only possible to achieve level 4 if level 3 is achieved, achieve level 3 if level 2 is achieved etc. This ensures clear and safe progression in levels of a single qualification.

### Workflows for prerequisites

In the former version, we only checked if the direct prerequisites had any workflows to be executed.\
In the new version we also check if the prerequisites of prerequisites have any workflows to be executed.\
This 'workflow checking' for the prerequisites can now even go infinitely deep.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.ag5.com/release-notes/2023-updates/august-release-1-2023.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
